Parenting Education Classes
Parenting is a highly rewarding but very demanding job. Low-income, at-risk parents find their responsibilities even more difficult. They need help.
Catholic Charities offers a variety of courses to help parents increase their knowledge of child development, develop appropriate discipline skills, and otherwise improve the relationship with their children. One such course runs for six weeks and is designed for parents of children 12 years of age and younger. The course increases parents’ knowledge of child development, appropriate discipline skills and how to improve their relationship with their children. Classes are taught by experienced instructors who are parents themselves and the cost is $80.
Our goal is to empower parents to foster growth in their children so they thrive and achieve success in school and life. One new program for parents of older children and teens is the Parent Project.
For information about course offerings call (513) 863-6129. Remember to recommend the classes to parents who you believe would benefit from them.

Many of the parents we serve find themselves involved with child protection services, a court system or social services providers due to challenging life situations that have led to the loss of custody of their children. These parents must complete a parenting course to obtain visitation or regain custody.
Through our program, families are reunified and their lives greatly impacted.
There is also a great need for the classes and your donation would allow us to expand our program to include more parents.
