Catholic Charities would appreciate it greatly if parishes would put one or more the following in their weekly bulletin announcements . . .
FeedOhio & Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities is working with the Church of Latter Day Saints and Feed Ohio to help stock pantry shelves this summer. FeedOhio will be collecting can goods at the Red’s game on Aug 19th. If you are going to the game, bring 3 can goods and get a free ticket to a future game. The food will go to 30 different pantries to help restock shelves that often get low during the summer.

Are you looking for a fulfilling volunteer opportunity and a chance to make a difference for a senior citizen in need? Catholic Charities might have the perfect opportunity for you.
Senior Companions are volunteers age 55 and over who make a difference by providing assistance and friendship to older adults who have difficulty with daily living tasks, such as grocery shopping or assisting with meal preparation. We help these adults remain independent in their homes instead of having to move to more costly institutional care.
Senior Companions serve 15 to 40 hours per week helping an average of two to four adult clients live independently in their own homes. Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training, supplemental insurance while on duty, and may qualify to earn a tax-free hourly stipend. For more information on eligibility requirements or to receive an application contact Jeanne Cairns at 513-672-3718.
